Remembering the Woman Who Made Everyone Feel Included
Mrs. Cheung was one of the kindest people that I have had the privilege of knowing. From the first day I met her at Kiely’s school event, she made it a point to always make me feel included and seen.
Immediately after meeting her, she included me in family dinners and potential future outings. We quickly bonded over our mutual love of traveling and exploring new parts of the world. I can still hear her recounting her trip to Europe and how much she would have rather gone to Vietnam—but the only upside, she joked, was the shopping.
She was selfless in her interactions and always chose to make everyone around her feel at ease. No matter what she was feeling or going through, she always made it a point to check up on me—whether that was about my family, a car accident, or just my personal life.
Her poise, calm demeanor, and joy for life are just a few examples of the deep impact she had on me. I am forever changed and blessed to have shared dinners, laughs, and even the occasional heart-to-heart conversation with her.
I will miss hearing the stories about her many adventures and the trips she loved to share so vividly. Her memory will forever live on in me.
